Land That I Love

There has been a change in this great Nation that I love.  The greatest nation to ever be.

It could be argued that during the last year of President Bush's term in office and definitely during President Obama's term that this great Nation has lost the cohesiveness, the unity that once was.  What do I mean by this?  The country is more divided politically than it ever has been since I have been alive.  And it could be that I have just now began to get more involved in the workings of the Government, paying more attention to the implications of my vote, of the players the govern this country, and so I have just become aware of the division, but I don't think so.  My dad even believes that the country is in a form of a non-violent Civil War.  There is just such division, such heated debates, such anger terrorizing this Nation's political platform.

So I created this blog.  My dad suggested that I document to vast amount of changes that have taken place, and are taking place in the this historic time for our nation.  This blog is such a thing.  So that 30, 40, 50 years from now, I can look back and "remember when".  I pray that as I'm looking back, the country that remains is stronger, more beautiful, Truth-seeking than ever before.  But until then, here is the journey.

While occasionally, my own political viewpoints may filter in so as to help document the changes from my standpoint, I will also try to remain objective in narrating the story that is the United States of America in the 21st Century.

God bless you, and God bless America.
